This recipe is a good treat for something a little different. It was given to me by a special friend that just happen to be Native American. Enjoy

Ingredients

4 c
flour
2 tsp
salt
1T. & 1 tsp
baking powder
1 Tbsp
melted shortening
2 c
lukewarm milk
1/2 c
oil for deep frying

Step-By-Step

1Combine flour,salt, and baking powder in a bowl. Stir in shortening and milk. Knead dough lightly to form ball. Roll out dough on floured board. Cut into 2 inch squares. Fry 2 or 3 at a time til golden brown on both sides. Drain on paper towels.
