Moms Honey Bread

For those that still make bread without a bread maker.

Ingredients

STEP 1

1 c
luke warm water
1 tsp
sugar
2 Tbsp
yeast

STEP 2

2 c
luke warm water
1/2 c
honey
1 Tbsp
salt (heaping tablespoon)
1/2 c
saflower oil

9 c
flour

Directions Step-By-Step

Combine first three ingredients and let stand 10 minutes. Stir until blended.

Add next four ingredients and beat.

Then stir in flour 1 cup at a time. You may need to adjust flour amount or add a little water at this point to get correct consistency. Knead until smooth and elastic.

Place in a bowl, cover and set in a warm place to rise to double in size, 1-2 hours.

Punch down and divide into 3 loaves. Shape and place in greased loaf pans. Cover and let rise again until rounded over top of pan, approx. 1 hour.

Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
