Combine cornmeal, flour baking powder, salt, and sugar in a large bowl; stir well.
Combine milk, oil, and eggs in a medium mixing bowl; beat well at medium speed of an electric mixer. Add the milk mixture, cheese and remaining ingredients to cornmeal mixture, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.
Pour batter into a greased 13x9x2 inch baking pan. Bake at 425 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.
