Dawn's Easy Cheesy Bread

1 pkg
french bread cut in half lengthwise
1 stick
butter or margarine, softened
1 pt
whipped cream cheese
2 c
shredded colby/jack cheese
1 Tbsp
garlic powder
1/4 tsp
black pepper
1 tsp
seasoning salt

Directions Step-By-Step

Cut the french bread in half lengthwise. Place on baking sheet. Spread softened butter or margarine on both sides of the bread. Mix the seasonings in a small bowl and/or sprinkle 1/2 the mixture of on each side of the bread. Next spread the whipped cream cheese generously over each piece of bread and then add the grated co-jack cheese. Place in 425 degree over for 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and starts to brown and sides are crisp. Remove from over and let stand for 5 mins or so to allow the cheese to start cooling. Slice into serving size piece and serve.
