Pumpkin Streusal Muffins

These muffins have cream cheese in the middle of each one. A nice surprise when you bite into them.

Ingredients

1 3/4 c
flour
1/2 c
sugar
1 Tbsp
baking powder
1 tsp
cinnamon
1/2 tsp
salt
1/2 tsp
nutmeg
1 large
egg
1/2 c
canned or cooked pumpkin
1/2 c
canola oil
1 pkg
(3oz)cream cheese..cut into 12 pieces

STREUSAL TOPPING

1/4 c
packed brown sugar
1/4 c
chopped pecans
1 tsp
cinnamon
1 Tbsp
butter or margarine

Directions Step-By-Step

Combine 1st 6 ingredients.
In another bowl,beat egg; add milk,pumpkin,& oil.
Stir in dry ingredients just until moistened.
Fill 12 greased or paper lined muffin cups 1/2 full.
Place 1 piece of cream cheese in each muffin.
Top with remaining batter.

Combine packed brown sugar,pecans,& cinnamon.
Cut butter into combined mix.
Sprinkle over muffins.
Bake 400 degrees 18-22 minutes or until muffins test done.
Cool 5 minutes.
Remove from pan to wire racks.Cool.
