Garlic Beer Bread

Jeanne Benavidez

I know that there are may versions of beer bread out there so I thought I would post my version to add to the group. This is such an easy recipe and tastes like you worked for hours. It's light and moist and can be a base recipe for many delicious varieties of bread. Just by adding different ingredients such as jalapenos, onions, sliced olives, cheese or different herbs or seasonings and you can create your own version.

3 c
baking mix (such as bisquick)
3 Tbsp
1/2 Tbsp
garlic salt
1/2 Tbsp
garlic powder
1 Tbsp
dried parsley flakes
12 oz
beer (cold or room temp)
3 Tbsp
butter, melted

1Combine all dry ingredients together in bowl and mix well.

2Add beer (I used it cold, right from the fridge) and mix well with a wooden spoon. The dough will be “tacky” or “sticky”.

3Pour into a greased loaf pan or 2 qt round casserole dish.

4Brush melted butter over the top of the dough.

5Place immediately into a preheated 375 F deg oven and bake for 50 minutes or until lightly golden brown.
