I made these to go with the first chili I made. Top these with your chili, sour cream, olives and cheese. so good.

Ingredients

1 c
corn meal
1 c
flour
1 Tbsp
baking powder
1/2 tsp
salt
1/4 c
sugar
1/3 c
melted butter
1 c
milk
1
egg
1/4 c
syrup

Step-By-Step

1pre heat waffle iron

2In a large bowl, whisk your dry ingredients.

3In a separate bowl whisk together wet ingredients including syrup

4Make a well in the center of dry ingredients and pour in wet ingredients. whisk together to make a smooth batter. If it's to dry add little bit of milk at a time till it's to your liking.

5pour batter onto waffle iron and cook till they are golden brown and crispy on outside. usually 3 to 5 min. depending on your waffle iron.
