BISCUIT MIX INGREDIENTS

9 c
all-purpose flour
1/4 c
baking powder
1 Tbsp
salt
2 c
shortening

INGREDIENTS FOR MAKING BISCUITS

2 c
biscuit baking mix
1/2 c
half-and-half cream

HOW TO MAKE THE BISCUIT MIX

In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder and salt.

Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Store in an airtight container in a cool dry place or in the freezer for up to 8 months.

HOW TO USE THE BISCUIT MIX

In a small bowl, add biscuit baking mix and cream, stirring until just until moistened

Turn onto a lightly floured surface; knead gently 10 times. Pat or roll out to 1/2-in. thickness; cut with a 2-1/2-in. biscuit cutter. (or just drop them on the pan)

Place 2 in. apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 425° for 13-16 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
