A simple cocktail sauce with a few embellishments that provide a kick. Great for use @ holiday celebrations or any time of the year. Use for shrimp or your favorite seafood. Hey, you know what to do!

Ingredients For red onion and jalapeno cocktail sauce

  • 1 c
    ketchup
  • 1 1/4 c
    chili sauce
  • 1/2 c
    red onion, grated (grate from large holes on grater)
  • 1 tsp
    jalapenos, fresh, finely diced
  • 6 Tbsp
    prepared horseradish
  • 2 Tbsp
    fresh lemon juice, more to taste
  • 1/4 tsp
    sea salt, more to taste

How To Make red onion and jalapeno cocktail sauce

  • 1
    Place all ingredients in a bowl and stir to combine. Chill, covered, until ready to use. This sauce is best made a day in advance and will keep well in fridge for up to a week. NOTE: Prior to serving, taste and add more lemon juice and salt, as needed.
