From an old cookbook, this appetizer is ideal for a party where drinks (either alcoholic or non-) are served, because it is a bit thirsty-making! And it's extra satisfying because of the protein in the bacon.

Ingredients

2 stick
lemon juice
1 Tbsp
worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp
seasoned salt
2 can(s)
(5 oz.) whole water chestnuts, drained
8 slice
bacon, cut in half (pepper bacon is extra good)

Directions Step-By-Step

In a medium to large bowl, combine the Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice and seasoned salt. Add water chestnuts and marinate for 15 minutes.

Drain water chestnuts and wrap half a slice of bacon around each one, securing with a wooden toothpick.

Arrange on broiler rack and broil 4 inches from heat, for 2 minutes on each side. Bacon should be crisp when done.
