Cherry Chicken Salad

|2 1/2 c||cooked, cubed chicken breast|
|2/3 c||dried cherries (or cranberries)|
|1/3 c||chopped celery|
|1/3 c||chopped tart apple|
|1/3 c||chopped pecans, toasted|

I got this recipe from my aunt. It's great served on croissants. A little fancier than your standard chicken salad.
In a large bowl, combine the chicken, cherries, celery, apple, and pecans.
In another bowl, combine the mayo, buttermilk, salt and pepper. Add to the chicken mixture and mix well.
Spoon 1/2 cup of chicken salad onto each croissant. (or serve on whatever is your preference)
