I've never been a big fan of cranberry relishes until I made this; it's more of a salad. It came from our Family Heritage cookbook; my grandmas recipe. It's a great 'year round' feature at our house; we love it!

Ingredients For not your same ol' cranberry relish/salad

3 cfresh cranberries

1/2 cwhite sugar or splenda

1 smpkg. red jello (i use sugar free)

1 capples, peeled, cored, chopped

1/2 cwalnuts, roughly chopped

1/2 cchopped celery
How To Make not your same ol' cranberry relish/salad

1Wash cranberries. Put in a pan, cover with water and bring to a boil. Cook until they start popping, stir and go a couple minutes longer.

2Add sugar and jello to the cooked cranberries; cool.

3Add the apples, walnuts and celery stirring well. Place in a covered container and refrigerate. This will last up to 3 weeks in the fridge.
