I always search for new recipes with fish. I have my family eat seafood at least once a week. My kids don't like to eat fish, but they love this recipe.I found this recipe in a very old cookbook.I hope your family will enjoy it too.

Ingredients For creamy fish dish

  • 1 lb
    fish fillets of your choice (perch,cod)
  • 1 can
    cream of celery soup
  • 3/4 c
    sour cream
  • 1 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded

How To Make creamy fish dish

    Thaw fish fillets, wash ,and drain them on a paper towel. Arrange fillets in a single layer in a 2 qt.shallow baking dish.

    In a saucepan, combine undiluted soup and sour cream;blend thoroughly.Add 3/4 cup cheese;heat over low flame, stirring constantly until cheese melts.

    Spread mixture over the fish.Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and bake for 45 minutes or until fish flakes.

    Sprinkle 1/4 cup remaining cheese;return to oven for 5 minutes or until cheese melts.Serve with mashed potatoes or pasta.
