These tastey biscuits come from the Home of Margaret Stewart my cousin in Topeka KS. These go great with BBQ baby back spare Ribs.

Ingredients For chili cheese biscuits

  • 1 1/2 c
    flour
  • 1 Tbsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    dried parsley
  • 1/2 stick
    oleo
  • 1
    egg, unbeaten
  • 1/3 c
    milk
  • 1 1/2 c
    shredded sharp cheddar cheese

How To Make chili cheese biscuits

    Sift dry ingredients together.

    But in butter until fine particles are formed.

    Combine egg and milk, beat slighly, add to dry ingredients. Stir until dough clings together. Knead gently on lightly floured surface.

    Roll dough out to 12" in. square. Sprinkle with cheese and parsely.

    Roll up dough as for jelly roll. Cut into eight slices.

    Place biscuits 1 inch apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake in 450 degree oven 8-12 minutes or until golden. Remove biscuits from baking sheet and serve immediately.
