disappearing caramel corn
It absolutely melts in your mouth! Made with one bag of puffs, it's heavily coated and decadent. I like to make another batch with 2 bags of puffs and mix them.

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 cup light karo syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 package corn puffs
How To Make disappearing caramel corn
-
Step 1In a heavy saucepan, mix butter, brown sugar and syrup. Bring to a boil and cook 2 minutes.
-
Step 2While it cooks, pour the bag (or 2) of corn puffs into a large roasting pan for plenty of room to stir.
-
Step 3Add the vanilla and soda. Give it a stir and it will foam up. While it foams, pour it over the corn puffs and mix well to coat the puffs.
-
Step 4Spread it out on large cookie sheet(s) and bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour, stirring every 15 min. Store in zip lock bags. Hide a bag to enjoy at your leisure because the others won't last long!!
