Marscarpone Cream Frosting

This is a quick and easy frosting recipe. A little different flavor than regular cream cheese frosting with the addition of marscarpone cheese, very rich and mellow. A great combination of cheese working together. Great on any dense cakes like spice, carrot or red velvet.

  • 2 pkg
    cream cheese-8oz, softened
  • 1 pkg
    marscarpone cheese-8oz, softened
  • 1 c
    butter-unsalted, softened
  • 16 oz
    powdered sugar

How to Make Marscarpone Cream Frosting


  1. With an electric mixer on medium then high speed, beat cream cheese until fluffy, approximately 5 minutes; add marscarpone cheese and mix until smooth. Add butter and mix until creamy, approximately 3 minutes. Reduce mixer speed to low and add powdered sugar and mix until combine and the consistency you want. If too thick, add a small amount of water, starting with 1 teaspoon at a time.
