tangerine salsa
I love oranges and tangerines. This salsa was at a Christmas party and I loved it!!! I had to beg for the recipe and would like to share it with my friends.

Makes 4 cups
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small red onion. finely chopped
- 6 - ripe roma tomatoes, chopped
- 4 -5 - tangerines, peeled, segmented, and chopped
- 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice
- 2 teaspoons hot sauce (optional)
- - salt to taste
How To Make tangerine salsa

Step 1Heat oil in a medium sauce pan over medium heat. Cook onions until just caramelized.

Step 2Add tomatoes and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes.

Step 3Remove from heat and let cool.

Step 4In a large bowl, mix together cooked tomatoes and onions with the tangerines.

Step 5Stir in the lime juice, hot sauce and salt.

Step 6Serve with tortilla chips. Salsa can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
