I love oranges and tangerines. This salsa was at a Christmas party and I loved it!!! I had to beg for the recipe and would like to share it with my friends.

Makes 4 cups

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1 small
    red onion. finely chopped
  • 6
    ripe roma tomatoes, chopped
  • 4 -5
    tangerines, peeled, segmented, and chopped
  • 1 Tbsp
    freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 2 tsp
    hot sauce (optional)
  • ·
    salt to taste

How to Make TANGERINE SALSA

Step-by-Step

  1. Heat oil in a medium sauce pan over medium heat. Cook onions until just caramelized.
  2. Add tomatoes and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool.
  4. In a large bowl, mix together cooked tomatoes and onions with the tangerines.
  5. Stir in the lime juice, hot sauce and salt.
  6. Serve with tortilla chips. Salsa can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
