I love oranges and tangerines. This salsa was at a Christmas party and I loved it!!! I had to beg for the recipe and would like to share it with my friends.

Ingredients

1 Tbsp
olive oil
1 small
red onion. finely chopped
6
ripe roma tomatoes, chopped
4 -5
tangerines, peeled, segmented, and chopped
1 Tbsp
freshly squeezed lime juice
2 tsp
hot sauce (optional)
salt to taste

How to Make TANGERINE SALSA

Step-by-Step

  • 1Heat oil in a medium sauce pan over medium heat. Cook onions until just caramelized.
  • 2Add tomatoes and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes.
  • 3Remove from heat and let cool.
  • 4In a large bowl, mix together cooked tomatoes and onions with the tangerines.
  • 5Stir in the lime juice, hot sauce and salt.
  • 6Serve with tortilla chips. Salsa can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
