My kids were introduced to canned Beef-A-Roni at their grandparents. So I had to find a homemade substitute because they really liked it! When they were small, I did everything from scratch. 1 - because I couldn't afford the canned stuff. 2 - I really wanted to give them a good nutritional start in life.
I just remembered this recipe because it had so few ingredients, so I'm posting it to the group "6 and Less."

  2. While beef is cooking, cook macaroni in boiling salted water until al dente - almost soft (about 12 minutes). Drain.
  3. Add spaghetti sauce and cooked macaroni to beef in skillet. Stir well, cover, and simmer 10 minutes, stirring often to prevent sticking.
  4. Top with Parmesan cheese or stir the cheese into the sauce.
