When I make a roast for most Sundays I always have roast left over. Many times I will cook a roast with gravy in the crock pot. I always have a chunk left though after having sandwiches, etc. So I cut the rest of the roast up and place it in a pan on top of the stove with its left over gravey and a little onion and potato and I have a hearty meal!! My husband absolutely loves this and normally Weds. night is the night we have this dish if we have roast on Sunday.

Ingredients

  • 1-1 1/2 cups left over roast beef
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • pinch salt and pepper
  • 2 medium potatoes cut in to small

How To Make roast beef hash

  • Step 1
Cut up left over roast beef in chunks or thin pieces. Peel and cut onion, potatoes in chunks not real big but not real little either. Use your left-over gravy and pour over the mixture. You may want to add some water and cook on medium heat on stove until potatoes are tender. Serve over rice.
  • Step 2
If you do not have any left over gravy. Make some gravy first in a skillet on top of the stove by adding a little oil and some flour then brown it and add some water. Then place your meat, potatoes, and onions, salt and pepper in the gravy that you made. This is very easy and filling.
