Beef and Biscuit Casserole

My mother found this recipe in the newspaper and kept it in taped up in the kitchen. I like this recipe because you can change it up a bit and add different ingredients to make it a different meal, for instance, you can use mozzarella cheese and Italian seasonings. It is easily doubled to a 13 x 9 pan. Hope you enjoy this easy recipe.

can of refrigerated bisuits

green chilies
1/4 c
sour cream
1 can(s)
tomato sauce, 8 ounces
1 1/2 c
shredded cheese, jack or cheddar

How to Make Beef and Biscuit Casserole


  • 1Brown the hamburger and fry the onion till soft, add chili powder. Add the can of tomato sauce and the can of chilies, bring to a simmer. Remove from heat. In a bowl, mix the egg and sour cream and add about 1/2 cup or so of the cheese. Mix the meat mixture with the sour cream mixture, then pour that into a 9 inch square pan. Open the can of biscuits and place the biscuits on top of the meat mixture. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 20 min or until the biscuits are golden brown.
