Ingredients

  • 1 c
    chopped rhubarb
  • 1
    lemon, juice and zest
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    water
  • 1/2 c
    lemon juice (use from your zested lemon)
  • 4-5 c
    crushed ice
  • ·
    water

How to Make Rhubarb Lemonade

Step-by-Step

  1. Simmer rhubarb, lemon zest, sugar and 1 cup water in a small pot and until the rhubarb falls apart, about 10 min. Pour the mixture through a sieve-save the liquid and discard the solids.
  2. Add the ½ cup lemon juice and stir.
  3. Fill a pitcher with crushed ice and pour the hot liquid over. Stir to cool the lemonade. Add as much water as necessary to desired strength.
