How to Make Cinnamon Vanilla Hot Cocoa
- Buy a packaged quality cocoa mix approximately 4-5 weeks before you plan to use it.
- Place it in a canning jar. Add a vanilla bean or two, ground cinnamon and sugar mixed to taste. Replace canning lid and seal tightly. The 4 or so weeks in storage will give plenty of time for the vanilla bean and cinnamon to gently flavor the cocoa.
- When you are ready to wrap it and give it to someone as a gift, use a permanent marker to write inside the canning lid your instructions
for preparation. Or you can make a label to wrap around the jar with raffia.
You can use fabric or lace, etc. to make a topper and also attach with raffia or ribbon. It will look great and will be greatly appreciated.
