When my 18 year old son was in the Navy overseas, he missed Mama's cookies, so I baked him 15 dozen cookies so he could also share with his friends. I packed each dozen in a ziplock bag. Thinking what a waste it would be to pay for all that bubble wrap, I came up with a better idea!!

  • 1I then got a large cardboard box and a large 33 gallon trash bag. I placed the open bag inside the box and started popping corn!! I would put in several pans of popcorn. then a couple dozen cookies, then popcorn, then cookies.
  • 2The coolest part was when he called me from Italy on shore leave and said "Mom! The package was terrific and my friends loved it too!"
  • 3This way. they had cookies AND popcorn rather then a bunch of bubble wrap to discard!!
