My friend, Sheila makes these. I was amazed how much they taste like the ones you buy. They're delicious.

Ingredients

  • 1 package yellow cake mix
  • 2/3 cup butter
  • 1 - egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3/4 cup corn syrup, light
  • 1-10 ounce bag miniature marshmallows
  • 2 cups rice krispies
  • 1 1/2 packages reese's peanut butter chips
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 1/2 cups cocktail peanuts

How To Make salted nut rolls

  • Step 1
    Mix cake mix, egg and 2/3 cup butter together.
  • Step 2
    Pat into a large jelly roll pan (or a large pan with a lip if you don't have a jelly roll pan). Bake for 12 minutes @ 350 degrees on bottom rack of oven. Remove from oven and add miniature marshmallows evenly over top and bake 1-2 minutes until melted, being careful they don't burn.
  • Step 3
    Melt together peanut butter chips, 1/4 cup butter, vanilla and corn syrup. I like to do this in a microwave safe dish, stirring every 2 minutes until chips are melted.
  • Step 4
    Add peanuts and rice krispies quickly, and pour over the two layers. Cool, cut and enjoy.
