  • 6 c
    peeled,sliced apples
  • 1 pkg
    german chocolate cake mix
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 1/4 c
  • 1/4 c
    softenerd margarine
  • 3 large
  • 1/2 c
    chopped nuts

  • 1 oz
    (3) cream cheese..softened
  • 4 Tbsp
  • 3 c
    powdered sugar

How to Make German Layered Apple Cake


  1. Preheat oven to 350.
    Spread 1/2 of apples evenly in a greased 13"x9" pan.
  2. In a large bowl mix DRY cake mix,cinnamon,water,margarine,and eggs at low speed until smooth.
    Beat 2 minutes at highest speed.
    Stir in nuts.
  3. Pour 1/2 of the batter evenly over apples and repeat layers.
  4. Bake 40-50 minutes or until it tests done with a
