Ingredients

  • 6 cups peeled,sliced apples
  • 1 package german chocolate cake mix
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1/4 cup softenerd margarine
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • FROSTING:
  • 1 ounce (3) cream cheese..softened
  • 4 tablespoons margarine..softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar

How To Make german layered apple cake

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350. Spread 1/2 of apples evenly in a greased 13"x9" pan.
  • Step 2
    In a large bowl mix DRY cake mix,cinnamon,water,margarine,and eggs at low speed until smooth. Beat 2 minutes at highest speed. Stir in nuts.
  • Step 3
    Pour 1/2 of the batter evenly over apples and repeat layers.
  • Step 4
    Bake 40-50 minutes or until it tests done with a toothpick.cool.
  • Step 5
    FROSTING: In a small bowl,blend frosting ingredients until smooth. Frost cooled cake.
