6 cpeeled,sliced apples
1 pkggerman chocolate cake mix
1 1/4 cwater
1/4 csoftenerd margarine
1/2 cchopped nuts
1 oz(3) cream cheese..softened
3 cpowdered sugar
How to Make German Layered Apple Cake
- Preheat oven to 350.
Spread 1/2 of apples evenly in a greased 13"x9" pan.
- In a large bowl mix DRY cake mix,cinnamon,water,margarine,and eggs at low speed until smooth.
Beat 2 minutes at highest speed.
Stir in nuts.
- Pour 1/2 of the batter evenly over apples and repeat layers.
- Bake 40-50 minutes or until it tests done with a toothpick.cool.
In a small bowl,blend frosting ingredients until smooth.
Frost cooled cake.
