Ingredients
- 6 cups peeled,sliced apples
- 1 package german chocolate cake mix
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 1/4 cup softenerd margarine
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- FROSTING:
- 1 ounce (3) cream cheese..softened
- 4 tablespoons margarine..softened
- 3 cups powdered sugar

Step 1Preheat oven to 350. Spread 1/2 of apples evenly in a greased 13"x9" pan.

Step 2In a large bowl mix DRY cake mix,cinnamon,water,margarine,and eggs at low speed until smooth. Beat 2 minutes at highest speed. Stir in nuts.

Step 3Pour 1/2 of the batter evenly over apples and repeat layers.

Step 4Bake 40-50 minutes or until it tests done with a toothpick.cool.

Step 5FROSTING: In a small bowl,blend frosting ingredients until smooth. Frost cooled cake.
