4 capples- peeled, cored and diced
How to Make German Apple Cake (with Apple Chunks)
- preheat oven to 350. grease 9x13 inch cake pan
- in a mixing bowl beat oil and eggs with electric mixer until creamy. add sugar and vanilla and beat well
- combine the flour, salt, baking soda and ground cimmamon together in a bowl, slowly add egg mixture and mix until combined, the batter will be very very thick
- fold in the apples with a wooden spoon. spread batter into the prepaired pan, bake 350, for 45 minutes or until cake tests done, let cool on wire rack. once cake is cool serve with a dusting of powdered sugar or with cream cheese frosting.
