I've been making this easy breakfast for years. I don't remember where I first found the name of the recipe. When I tried to find a picture to post today, it was difficult but I finally found something that "sort of" looks like the final dish! Regardless of what you call it, this is great for breakfast!

Pan Fry


Add to Grocery List

2 Tbsp
2 slice
bread (wheat, white, farmer's...sturdy bread)
egg, slightly beaten
1/2 c
ham, diced
1/2 c
red pepper
salt and pepper, use sparingly

How to Make Stzuddla Brod


  • 1Note: Adding the ham and red pepper are optional.
  • 2Melt the butter in a small skillet, on medium-low.
  • 3Add the bread and toss to coat in the butter until lightly browned.

    Note: if you are adding the red pepper and ham, do it at this point.
  • 4Add the egg and continue to toss until the bread (and other ingredients) are well coated.
  • 5Cook until the egg is done.
  • 6Immediately put onto a plate.

    **This makes one serving or you can divide it up and serve two people.
