My friend Pauline, who sends me great recipes on a regular basis sent this one that was served at her chuch breakfast. I entered it in a chili cook-off and it was a winner! Start it the night before, cook the eggs and hashbrowns the next morning and you're off to the breakfast or brunch. even an early tailgate party

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds bulk pork suasage, cooked and well drained
  • 1 pound bacon, cooked or diced ham
  • 2 cans (15 oz) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 2 cans (15 oz ) sm diced tomatoes
  • 1 jar (24 oz) spaghetti sauce
  • 1 can ( 6 oz) tomato paste
  • 2 - onions, diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • - salt and pepper to taste
  • 16 ounces bag frozen or refrigerated hashbrowns
  • 6 - eggs

How To Make pauline's church breakfast chili

  • Step 1
    Brown and drain sausage. Cook bacon and dice. Place all ingredients except hashbrowns and eggs in crockpot and turn on low before going to bed.
  • Step 2
    In the morning, brown hashbrowns. cook scrambled eggs and then dice. Add these to the crockpot ingredients in the morning snd you're good to go. Great for a crowd.
