My son has been studying Greek mythology and found this recipe for the type of bread that Greek soldiers ate to keep their strength up for battles. It's very nice for breakfast and a great snack.

Ingredients
- 4 cups flour
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 3/4 cup olive oil
- 3 - eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup sesame seeds
- 1 cup honey
- 1 1/2 teaspoons yeast
How To Make hoplite soldier sesame bread

Step 1Dissolve the yeast in the milk and set aside

Step 2Mix the flours with the salt, then add the eggs, olive oil, milk, and half of the honey.

Step 3Knead until soft and elastic, slowly adding half the sesame seeds

Step 4Cover and place in a warm place for an hour to rise. After the hour, form the dough into a log and slice into buns. Place the buns on a pan and allow to re-rise for 30 minutes.

Step 5Press your thumb into the middle of each bun and paint the buns with the remaining honey. Sprinkle with the remaining sesame seeds and bake for 40 min at 350 degrees.
