- 1 pound frozen bread dough, thawed
- 1/2 cup candied fruit mix
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/4 cup mincemeat
- GLAZE
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 4 teaspoons milk
- 1/8 teaspoon cardamom
- 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
How To Make christmas bread

Step 1On a lightly floured board, pull dough out until it is 12 inches long.

Step 2Knead in the fruit, mincemeat, and the nuts into dough.

Step 3With a sharp knife cut dough into 3 ropes, 12 inches long.

Step 4Press the dough together on one end and braid on a greased cookie sheet.

Step 5Let rise in a warm place until doubled in bulk, about 1 1/2 hours.

Step 6Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes

Step 7Cool.

Step 8Combine the sugar, milk, cardamom, and cinnamon. Spread this glaze over bread. SERVE WARM.
