Ingredients

  • 1 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 c
    beer
  • 1/2 qt
    canola oil
  • 2 c
    sliced jalapeno peppers

How to Make Spicy Deep Fried Jalapeno Caps

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix flour, salt, pepper, red chili powder, garlic powder, eggs, and beer together in a bowl.
    Let mixture rest about 15 minutes so batter can thicken up.
    In a deep fryer heat oil to 365 degrees F
    Dip the sliced jalapenos in the batter.
    Place a few battered jalapenos at a time in deep fryer.
    The jalapenos are fully cooked when they float to the surface of the oil.
    They should be golden brown and crispy.
    Serve with favorite dipping sauce.
