Thanks Paula..the crust will have layers..and it reminds me a lot of saltines...if that makes any sense..it's also a stiff dough..harder to roll out than my other crust recipe is..but it goes great with this pie..
I didn't include the crust..but it is a perfect crust for this pie...reminds me of the pies you get at diners..I can give you the crust recipe here..it's not my normal crust...it's hard to get good strawberries..they were pretty decent for this time of year though...the glaze sweetens enough though..
1-1/3 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup shortening
5 - 6 teaspoons milk
4 teaspoons water
I did this in my food processor..pulsed the salt and flour, then added the shortening...pulsed about 10 times..then added the liquid till formed a ball..then refrigerated for about an hour..
