It was a have to in our case. They live a hundred miles from us. My daughter-in-law, her Mother & Luca came up. The hospital where she is admitted is about thirty minutes from us. Her Mother stayed with her Friday night & Luca stayed with us. Meanwhile Daddy was home trying to figure things out with family & friends for the weeks ahead. Everyone is getting to help & keep Luca. Daddy is IT for a networking firm and will be working from home two days a week.

In your case Carol, unless you had to, I think I would wait awhile.

Well that is a hard thing to do ~ you can't blame them though, they want their Mommy ~ My daughter has suggested I keep my grandson overnight, but am reluctant to try it ~ I think they would be all mixed up !

Luca is good most of the time. Amazing the first two times. Maybe he was on his
best behavior mode. However Friday night was his first time being away from Mommy & Daddy for the night. He was so tired & did not want to give in. After rocking him, which had to be standing up, he was so heavy. After a half hour of trying different things, had to demand for him to stay and go to bed. That seemed to work after about ten minutes of crying and whimpering. Going to try talking with him earlier in the evening about reading a story & then time for night night. Going to have to work into a routine over several weeks.
Daddy is lost, even though he has been a big part of doing things with Luca since birth.

Carol keeping your Grandson three times a week, Bless You. I bet you are worn out at times. Our house is not child proofed. Mercy the things that he can find, that is not a toy.

Yes, I did have a very happy day. Visited with two children & their spouses. Also played with three of my Grandchildren.
My daughter-in-law that is pregnant with twins had to to admitted to the hospital for observation yesterday. We kind of expected it, but was hoping for it not to happen. They were called baby A & baby B. The babies have strong heart beats. However one is bigger that the other. A whole pound. They are like two weeks difference in their growth. So she is hooked up to monitors several hours a day. Also an ultrasound everyday.
We got to keep the two year old. First time staying with us. Very Good. Bedtime was not pleasant because he was so tired. Getting him to bed reminded me of my oldest daughter one time years ago.
