I love to bake and was excited to try these lemon bars. Did NOT turn out at all! I tried making this for our Labor Day cookout because of all of the good ratings and boy was I disappointed. I read all of the tips, followed the instructions and even cooked it a little longer like some said. Yuck! While it cooled it split right down the middle. So, still trying to salvage some of the bars I dusted it with powdered sugar and cut them into squares. The pieces were mushy and had a funny taste, kind of like one review said, like a jello. Warning, if you've not made this, do not count on it for a party until you try it. I ended up serving slice and bake cookies. Major thumbs down!

I tried a version of this using blueberry pie filling instead..........AND you should ONLY USE 1 CAN of pie filling. Cherry is equally as good.

Could not find canned filling. So made the Jello lemon pudding. I only tried half a recipe.Taste is good, but its not like any lemon bar I have ever had. Very dense and almost like a jello cube. Maybe the homemade pudding?

I just made these. I used 2 cans (15.75) of lemon pie filling instead. They came out perfect in the allotted time. Can't wait to serve them to my guests. They are light and fluffy and yummy!
