Ginger Peach Sweet Ice Tea

yield: 2 quarts

8 cups cold water, divided
•
1 lemon, sliced
•
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger or 2 inches of fresh ginger, sliced
•
2 family size teabags (I prefer Luzianne)
•
1/2 to 1 cup sugar (depending on taste preference and sweetness of peaches)
•
2 peaches, pureed
