Ingredients
| 2 lb | soup bone |
| 2 Tbsp | oil |
| salt and pepper to taste | |
| 2 qt | cold water |
| 1 c | canned tomatoes |
| 1 lg | onion, sliced |
| 1/2 c | diced carrots |
| 1/2 c | diced celery |
| 1/2 c | diced potatoes |
| 1/2 c | peas, frozen |

Directions
Remove a portion of the meat from the soup bone and dice. Brown diced meat in oil.Place browned meat, soup bone, and seasonings in large soup pot; cover with cold water.Cover and heat to boiling. Then simmer for 2 1/2 hours-until meat is tender.Skim off fat. Add vegetables and cook until vegetables are tender.
