|2 lb||soup bone|
|salt and pepper to taste|
|2 qt||cold water|
|1 c||canned tomatoes|
|1 large||onion, sliced|
|1/2 c||diced carrots|
|1/2 c||diced celery|
|1/2 c||diced potatoes|
|1/2 c||peas, frozen|
Remove a portion of the meat from the soup bone and dice. Brown diced meat in oil.
Place browned meat, soup bone, and seasonings in large soup pot; cover with cold water.
Cover and heat to boiling. Then simmer for 2 1/2 hours-until meat is tender.
Skim off fat. Add vegetables and cook until vegetables are tender.
