This is a recipe given to me by my landlady and is a signature dish of hers. Very well tested and approved.

Ingredients

1 1/2 lb
chicken breast, cubed
1 medium
onion
1 1/2 tsp
garlic powder
1 Tbsp
vegetable oil
31 oz
great northern beans, rinsed and drained
1 can(s)
chicken broth
7 oz
green chilies
1 tsp
salt
1 tsp
ground cumin
1 tsp
dried oregano
1/2 tsp
white pepper
1/4 tsp
cayenne pepper
1 c
sour cream
1/2 c
whipping cream

OPTIONAL TOPPINGS

1/2 c
mexican blend shredded cheese
1/2 c
bacon, crumbles
1/2 c
chives, chopped

Directions Step-By-Step

In large saucepan, saute chicken, onion and garlic.

Add beans, broth, chilies & spices.

Bring to boil, simmer un-covered for 30 minutes.

Remove from heat, stir in sour cream and whip cream. Serve with toppings of choice.
