Oh,How I loved this soup.Alot of flavor for your mouth. (A TOH Recipe)


I did double the broth and water amounts so there was more liquid for my taste.Its up to you,but thats what I did.

Ingredients

1/2 lb
bulk italian sausage
1/2 c
chopped onions
1 c
carrots
1 can(s)
28-oz, tomato puree
1 can(s)
14 1/2 -oz. ,chicken broth
2 c
water
1 tsp
dried basil
1 pkg
9-oz.,cheese-filled refrigerated tortellini
3 c
frozen cut broccoli

Directions Step-By-Step

Combine sausage and onion ,cook over medium heat until no longer pink.Drain.In a large pot combine sausage and onion mixture with carrots.Cook and stir 1 minute.

Add tomato puree,broth,water and basil.Bring to a boil.Add tortellini.Return to a boil.Add broccoli.

Cook 6 to 8 minutes or until tortellini and carrots are tender.
