kim's cabbage roll soup

I had a craving for cabbage rolls the other day but only half a head of cabbage. I rummaged through my cupboards to see what I could come up with to make cabbage roll soup. This mix of ingredients came out perfect. You could always add a little garlic or red pepper flakes if you want to add some zest to it but my family and I enjoyed it this way.

Ingredients For kim's cabbage roll soup

  • 32 oz
    beef broth
  • 24 oz
    tomato juice
  • 1/2
    head of cabbage cut into bite size pieces
  • 1 lb
    hamburger cooked and drained
  • 1 c
    uncooked rice
  • 1 tsp
    salt

How To Make kim's cabbage roll soup

    Mix together in a pot broth, juice burger and cabbage.

    Boil until cabbage begins to soften, approximately 20 minutes.

    Add rice and salt.
  • 4
    Bring back to a boil and allow to simmer for approximately 20 minutes or until rice is done.
