I GOT THIS RECIPE FROM ONE OF MY COWORKERS AND IT IS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS, I WILL TELL YOU THOUGH, I DONT ADD THE POTATOES BECAUSE I JUST DONT LIKE POTATOES IN SOUP

Ingredients

2 stick
butter
2
onions chopped

celery stalks chopped
3 qt
water

potatoes chopped
4 Tbsp
chicken base
2 can(s)
cream of celery
1 large
can cream of chicken soup family size
KNOEPHLA DOUGH
2 c
flour
3
eggs
enough milk to make a soft dough
TO FINISH THE SOUP
1 pt
whipping cream

Directions Step-By-Step

YOU MELT THE BUTTER IN YOUR SOUP KETTLE, ADD THE ONIONS AND CELERY AND SAUTE UNTIL SOFT, ADD ALL THE OTHER INGREDIENTS AND COOK UNTIL POTATOES ARE SOFT

FOR THE DOUGH, PUT 2 CUPS OF FLOUR IN YOUR FOOD PROCESSOR, ADD 3 EGGS BEATEN AND THEN ENOUGH MILK TO MAKE A SOFT DOUGH IT REALLY DEPENDS ON THE TEMPERATURE IN YOUR AREA

BRING THE SOUP TO A BOIL, SNIP NOODLES INTO SOUP, JUST BEFORE YOU SERVE, ADD A PINT OF WHIPPING CREAM

Yummy! I am from ND and have made, tried lots of Knoephla and this bar far is the best! I cheated a bit, and used the Baker Boy premade frozen dumpling cause I was in a pinch for time. DELICIOUS!!!! Thick and creamy, lots of flavor. Thanks for sharing:)

Hello Bonita.
.Did you know this is a German Soup...
Knoephia means...little knob button.
A common soup mainly in Minn., So. Dakota, and No. Dakota.
Mainly in settlements of German emigrants from the Russian Empire.
Just thought you would like to know...
