Cream of Broccoli Soup

Stove Top

Ingredients

2 c
broccoli florets
2 c
boiling water
3 Tbsp
butter
1/4 c
all purpose flour
2 tsp
instant chicken bouillon granules
dash(es)
black pepper
2 c
milk or half and half

Step-By-Step

1In large suacepan cook broccoli in the boiling water for 8-10 minutes. Drain broccoli, reserving liquid.( Add additional water, if necessary, to make 1-1/2 cups liquid.)
2In same pan melt butter. Stir flour, bouillon granules and pepper. Add milk all at once. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir 1 minute more.
3Stir in broccoli mixture; heat through.
