Broccoli Cheese Soup

|1 1/2 lb||broccoli, fresh|
|1/2 c||cornstarch, mixed in 1 c. cold water|
|1 pt||half and half|
|1 lb||velveeta, cubed|
Steam or boil broccoli until tender. Remove from heat, drain and set aside.
In heavy-bottom pot, combine half and half and 2 c. water. Add Velveeta, salt and pepper. Heat over medium heat until cheese is melted.
Stir in cornstarch and water mixture slowly. Simmer until soup thickens. Add cooked broccoli, stirring gently until all combined. Serve hot and just look how happy it makes your family!
