My mother was of Asian ancestry, as I am also, but we always had a variety of main dishes and desserts that my dear mother prepared; her Corn Chowder and Lemon Meringue pies were great! I now carry on the tradition so that my children & grandchildren can enjoy. Thank you, Mom! XO

Ingredients For mom's corn chowder

  • 3 Tbsp
    butter, cold
  • 2 can
    campbell's cream of celery
  • 2 can
    campbell's cream of mushroom
  • 1 can
    campbell's cream of potatoe
  • 4 1/2 c
    milk, 2%
  • 1 c
    chopped ham
  • 2 Tbsp
    chopped onions
  • 4
    strips of bacon
  • 1/4 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1 can
    corn
  • 1 can
    cream-style corn
  • 1/4 c
    chopped celery (optional)

How To Make mom's corn chowder

  • 1
    Brown chopped onions in butter. Then add chopped ham. You may use left over ham.

    Then add your cans of soups and cups of milk. Continue to stir while chowder is heating.

    Fry 4 strips of bacon, crumble, and add to chowder. Sprinkle a dash of black pepper. Simmer and stir until ready to serve.
