This chili is so nice to come home to after a long day at work.

Note :You can have what ever amount or type of beans you like or you don't have to have beans in this if you don't want too.

ground beef
1 lb
ground pork
1/2 Tbsp
bacon fat or 5 precooked strips bacon crushed
1 c
chopped celery
1/2 c
green and red peppers, chopped
1 c
chopped onion
1/4 c
sugar
1/4 c
dark brown sugar
1 Tbsp
beef soup base
48 oz
vegetable juice (v-8)
1 tsp
thyme
2 tsp
salt
1 tsp
pepper sauce or to taste
1 tsp
cumin seed
1 tsp
garlic powder or minced garlic

bay leaves
1 tsp
cilantro
1/2 Tbsp
mexican oregano
1 pkg
chili seasoning
1 Tbsp
paprika
1 can(s)
stewed tomatoes, 16 ounces
2 can(s)
pinto beans
1 can(s)
light red kidney beans

Directions Step-By-Step

Brown pork and beef, and drain very well.

Add all ingredients to large crock pot and cover.

Cook on high for 4-6 hours or low for 8-12 hours.

The longer it cooks, the thicker it gets.

Cubed roast or steak may be substitiuted for the ground meat.
