I have made this recipe for years. I got it from nowhere. I just make it the way I like it! Hope you do too. I make it for the hunters at the lodge & they all ask for my recipe.
I like adding shredded cheddar cheese when I eat mine.

Sometimes less is more!

Stove Top

Ingredients

2 1/2 lb
hamburger or deer burger
2 medium
onions, cut in slivers
3 large
cans chili beans
3 can(s)
red beans
3 can(s)
pinto or the equivilent of home cooked pintos with juice
2 can(s)
diced tomatoes- chili style or stewed tomatoes
1/2 -2/3 jar(s)
great value (walmart) chili powder- i use more like almost 2/3

Step-By-Step

1In large dutch oven or stock pot, brown your burger adding just enough oil to keep from sticking if necessary.

2When almost browned, add your onions & continue cooking until onions are just translucent.

3Add the chili beans.

4Add the pinto beans.

5Add the red beans.

6Add the diced tomatoes & chili powder & bring to a boil.

7Turn the heat to low & continue cooking & stirring with lid off for about 30-60 minutes, until chili becomes thick.

8I like to add shredded cheddar to my bowl of chili when I eat it. Enjoy!!
