Very Different Cabbage Soup!

I call this cabbage soup because it does make its on juices and comes out so wonderful! This is the best with a pan of cornbread!

2 large
tomatoes, sliced
2-3 large
potatoes, sliced as tomatoes
1 pkg
sliced cheese
fried bacon
chopped onions
chopped bell peppers
1 large
cabbage head
1 lb
ground meat (cooked)

Directions Step-By-Step

In a large stainless steel pot...(put 3-4 tbs. butter in bottom of pan) layer cabbage, potatoes, tomatoes, sliced cheese,browned hamburger meat, onions and bell peppers, and cooked bacon(crumbled)IN THAT ORDER! I use Tony Chachere's seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper after each layer!
Continue layers and place on stove top on low heat...pour in 4-5 cups of water and place lid on pot.
Cook on low heat for an hour to an hour and a half (or until desired consistency) ENJOY!
