Ingredients

flour
1 tsp
salt
1/2 tsp
pepper
1 lb
beef stew meat, cubed
2 Tbsp
oil
1 c
apple cider
1/2 c
water
1 Tbsp
vinegar
1/2 tsp
thyme
2 large
carrots, cut in pieces
1
celery rib, chopped
1 large
potato, cubed and peeled
1
medium onion, sliced

Step-By-Step

1Mix flour, salt, and pepper and add beef and toss to coat.

2In a large saucepan, brown beef in oil.

3Add cider, water, vinegar and thyme; bring to a boil.

4Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1 hour and 45 minutes or until the meat is tender.

5Add carrots, celery, potato and onion; return to a boil.

6Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 45 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
