fried pickles
Living in Texas fried pickles are always a welcome addition to most any party or barbecuing affair. We even make the when we are tailgating. Nowadays you can find them on the appetizer portion of most restaurants too. I thought I'd share the recipe for them so you can make them at your home. Serve them with ranch dressing and you'll have a winner at your next barbecue.

Ingredients
- 1 large dill pickle chips
- 1 cup beer
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups flour
- - peanut oil, for frying
- - slat and pepper, to taste
How To Make fried pickles

Step 1Pour oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven until the oil is about 1-2 inches up the side of the pan.

Step 2Heat oil to 350 degrees.

Step 3Strain pickles in a small colander.

Step 4In a mixing bowl, whisk the eggs and 3/4 cup of beer together.

Step 5Season the mixture with salt and pepper.

Step 6Whisk in enough flour to form a batter. If the batter is too thick add the remaining beer to thin the batter.

Step 7Dip pickles one at a time using tongs into the batter and then place in the heated oil.

Step 8Fry pickles for about 2 minutes flipping the pickle after about 1 minute.

Step 9Place pickles on a plate lined with paper towel and then season with salt and pepper.

Step 10Serve with Ranch Dressing.
