1Heat oven to 325. Butter a 15 x 10 x 1 pan.
2Heat sugar, syrup, butter and salt in a 3 qt. saucepan until sugar dissolves.
3Remove from heat and stir in the cereal and the nuts until well coated.
4Spread in pan and bake 15 minutes.
Cool 10 minutes and then loosen with a spatula.
