Since (over 10 years) everyone calls them Cindys Pecans. They are a huge hit every Christmas. They are a pain as as far as you have to baby sit them while they cook. But to see people go nuts for these nuts makes it worth it...already people are asking when will I make them. In a tin they last

- box of light brown sugar
- box of dark brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp
- pumpkin pie spices
- 1 Tbsp
- 2 or 3
- egg whites
- a couple of splashes of water
- 1 lb
- pecans, halved
1Mix egg whites and a little water ( table spoon or two) Pour nuts in and mix well
2Mix sugars and spices.
Pour nuts in sugar mix
3Time to get dirty....
With your hands mix the nuts real good. Pour in a roast pan
4Cook nuts in oven at 350 for 30 min and stir.
Cook the rest of the way at 300 and stir every 20 to 30 minutes. They are done when the are crusted. After a while they are pain to stir, but you have to keep it up....there is a reward when your done.
5These can take 2 hours. I always plan a day to cook them. Usually I cook them all day and make put in tins for my special people.
